The Bay PianoFest is a 10-days piano festival held at the

San Francisco Conservatory of Music, CA

    Final Deadline: March 15th, 2025 ($110)

    Applications will be received for admission results by March 25th, approximately two weeks after the application deadline. All admission results are sent to your email address as listed on the application form. If you need early admission to obtain the visa, please email us!

  • Two contrasting repertoire

    • One movement from a classical sonata (Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven)

    • One Free Choice of the repertoire (Baroque, Romantic, or Contemporary)

    You may submit selection(s) from multi-movement works

    Total time: 10-20 minutes

    Audition Recording should be submitted via Youtube/Google Drive/Youku Link

    Piano Concerto movements are not acceptable.

  • Participants aged 12 and older are eligible and encouraged to apply. Exceptionally talented applicants under the age of 12 may apply.

    All participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parents attending the festival with a child must purchase an auditor card.

  • Every selected participant will

    • 4 private lessons/masterclasses with the distinguished artists

    • Performance/Participate forum class

    • Daily Conducting Workshops

    • Access to all masterclasses, lectures, concerts, piano forums, and events.

    • Young artist concerts

    • Professional Performance Media Package

    • Exclusive Access by attending the 2025 San Francisco International Piano Competition 

  • In-Person Tuition: $2480 USD

    Online Tuition: $1600 USD

    Housing at San Francisco Conservatory of Music (Optional)

  • Housing at San Francisco Conservatory of Music (Optional): 

    In-person participants may choose to stay at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, which include 24/7 access to practice spaces with self-recording capabilities, or may find housing on their own. 

    Festival rooms included double rooms, single rooms, and suites for participants who come with their parents. You can request a specific roommate or the festival can randomly place you with another participant. 


    Double shared room: $980 USD

    Single Room: $1380 USD 

    Suite for family: $1980 USD

Q&A

Is the Festival in-person this year?

Bay PianoFest will have another special Hybrid version in 2024. All participants can choose to attend either in-person in San Francisco or online to earn from the prestigious faculty for all of our events. 

Can I observe the festival? 

Of course! We welcome auditors from around the world.

You can purchase a weekly pass for all events, or join us with a daily events pass. 

Weekly Auditor Pass:

Early Bird: $580 (Purchase before May 15th) 

Regular: $680 (Purchase between 05/15-07/31)

What do I need to participate ONLINE Festival? 

  • A PIANO 

  • Fast/Stable Internet (Ethernet is the most preferred) 

  • A Computer with a ZOOM app

  • An External Mic
